Surrounded - Fellow Citizen Stars
The KISS rock band is still going strong and so is the sales of Kiss merchandise and memorabilia. The reemergence of Kiss bass player Gene Simmons in is made for television reality show, "Gene Simmons Family Jewels" and the upcoming tour of the Les Paul guitar playing Ace Frehley has the rock and roll Kiss army back in force. Kiss collectibles are timeless and date back to the early 1970's. Kiss collectors come in all shapes and sizes and vary in age. From the long hair old grandfather to the 6 year old new generation fan, there is no shortage of Kiss collectors.
Popular merchandise and memorabilia include, posters, vintage concert T-shirts, trading card series from 1978, Japan vinyl records and Kiss action figures just to name a few. Over the years the value of all Kiss items as a whole have held their worth easily. With a new record and tour rumored to be in the works, one can expect a new flood of collectibles to hit the market soon. If you are just getting into collecting of Kiss memorabilia, I suggest starting with autographs of the rock band legends. They are easy to find on the auction giant eBay website and can be had for a very budget minded price. Before buying on eBay make sure to check the sellers feedback and make sure the description of the item you are buying fits your needs.
Make sure to set a budget on the amount you want to put towards your Kiss collection. Make sure that Kiss figures, concert t-shirts and posters are original and are not reproductions. Some unique items that I have in my personal collection are autographed Kisstory books, lunch boxes and some Kiss tour guitar picks. Probably the weirdest collectible I have seen for sale is the Kiss Koffin. It is a full size coffin decorated in Kiss logos and design and comes ready to be buried in. While I am not in need of one of those just yet, I am dying to get my hands on some missing 1978 trading cards for my series collection. All of the Kiss band members are getting up in age, so the rock and roll all night and party every day years may be coming to an end soon. What are you waiting for? Get out and start collecting while the memorabilia is hotter than hell.
